Love Ur Look 1950s Polka Dot Dress

What? Love Ur Look 1950s Polka Dot tea dress

Where? www.loveurlook.co.uk

Why? I’m generally more drawn towards Sixties and Seventies fashions over the Fifties pin-up look – to be honest I can’t be bothered with the necessary hair and makeup – but in the summer you can’t beat a flared cotton sun dress for easy day-time glamour.

Online boutique Love Ur Look has some beautiful vintage-inspired prints; from postcards and city scenes to classic checks and florals, and all of their tea dresses are lined with a netted under-hem for flirty full skirt volume.

This polka dot dream attracted compliments from no less than three strangers on its first outing – a sure sign of a winner – and could easily transition from day to night with the help of  heels and lippy. Here I paired it with some summer favourites – monochrome Whistles sunglasses, Sun Jellies silver glitter shoes and my bargain £2 vintage bag from the Marina car boot sale.

More? Love Ur Look is opening a pop up shop at Leigh on Sea from 27 June to 7 July, offering exclusive pieces that aren’t available online as well as kids clothing, accessories and gifts.
